You are a professional-track theatrical performer? You are 18 years or older?

JUST CHOOSE A SOLO PERFORMANCE PIECE FROM THE MUSICAL THEATRE REPERTOIRE

Contestants compete in preliminary auditions held in central Montreal during the month of March. The top ten will be invited to perform in front of a live audience and a panel of professional judges.

To make the cut in Le Spotlight, you have to do a lot more than just sing well. You will have to thrill the judges with a complete, multi-faceted performance. Points will be awarded for singing ability, dramatic interpretation, movement skills, diction, stage presence, appropriateness of song choice, personal style and suitability of dress.

PRIZES

The grand prize consists of a starring role or featured solo performance at The Next Wave Festival of New Musicals in Montreal in August.

A special prize will also be awarded based on a poll of the audience present at the Le Spotlight finals.
